Who we are
This portal is operated by Connect-King Marketing (“CKM”, “we”), a South African marketing agency, on the domain connect-king.co.za. This policy explains what personal information the portal collects, why, and the rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, used to sign you in (via a one-time link — we never store a password).
- Workspace content — the deliverables, scheduled posts, reports, invoices and assets your CKM team shares with you, and any approvals, comments or feedback you submit.
- Marketing performance & leads — where CKM runs lead generation for you, this may include the names and contact details of leads and enquiries, shown to you as the account owner.
- Essential cookies — a single secure session cookie so you stay signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we hold it (lawful basis)
We process this information to provide the portal service to you under our agreement with your organisation, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running that service. Lead and enquiry data is processed on behalf of, and shared with, the client it belongs to.
Who can see it
Access is strict and enforced at the database level: each client can only ever see their own workspace, and CKM (as admin) sees the data it manages on your behalf. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where it lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase (database, EU / London region), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email delivery from our own domain). These providers process data on our instruction under their own security and compliance commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as your organisation has an active workspace with CKM, and only as long as needed after that to meet legal and accounting obligations (for example, invoices). You can ask us to delete it sooner — see below.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. To make any of these requests, email
